Getting There

5-6 hour drive from Claremont
Parking at June tends to be relatively easy because it is not a particularly crowded mountain (parking is at the bottom of Chair J1).
Use June Mountain Express Shuttle to get there from Mammoth ($7 one way, $13.50 round trip).
Lift Ticket Price:
- $129 for a day pass
- Day passes at Mammoth Mountain are also valid at June Mountain (but not vice versa).
This mountain is on the IKON Pass

Accomodations:
- While this is by no means a low-quality ski resort, we would advise staying closer to Mammoth Mountain, and only skiing June as a backup (if Mammoth is closed from high winds or if the lift lines are unbearably long).
- June Lake Motel: If you want to stay near June Mountain, this is one of the cheapest options. Rooms available with kitchenette from $80-115 per night. Located 1 mile from the ski area.
Food: June has two on-mountain dining options. The Chalet (at the top of Chair J1) has cafeteria-style dining, and The Lunchbox (located near Chair J7 on Bunker Hill) has cheesesteaks and chili.

Gear Rentals: Information on gear rentals isn’t particularly applicable to June Mountain, given the fact that June is typically skied as part of a larger trip to Mammoth, at which point you would have already rented your equipment. That said, there are ski and snowboard rentals available through the June Mountain resort and an independent vendor.
June Meadows Chalet
- Prices: Visit the website for specific pricing. As with Mammoth Mountain, you can save 20% on rentals by booking at least 7 days in advance online.
- Hours: 8am – 4:30pm
- Location: The rental shop is in the June Meadows Chalet, which is at mid-mountain. Take Chair J1 up the mountain; the renal shop is on the first floor of the Chalet.
Ernie’s Tackle & Ski Shop. (further away but cheaper)
Prices:
- Performance Rental Package (basic skis): $33 per day
- Demo Rental Package (premium skis): $50 per day
- Snowboard Package: $33 per day
