Jacob Hardy

President

Jacob (He/Him) is a sophomore at CMC double majoring in Economics and History. He grew up skiing and teaching at Windham Mountain on the East Coast. He loves all things skiing, from racing to freestyle, and big mountain. Ask him about how much better West Coast skiing is than East Coast skiing!

Ibukun Owolabi

Media Managment

Ibukun (he/him) is a Claremont McKenna College sophomore from Boston, MA. While Ibukun (or Buks) does not have much experience snowboarding, he is excited to capture the club’s amazing adventures on the Instagram, which everyone should be following :). In non-snowy climates, Ibukun enjoys playing basketball, eating grilled cheese, and petting dogs.

Kai Yeung

lOGistics Director

My name is Kai (He/Him)- I am a sophomore @ pitzer studying data science! I am a mediocre snowboarder, probably a better skateboarder, and a completely awful surfer. Super stoked to get as many people up on the mountains as possible!

Harrison Brown

Diversity & Inclusion MGR

Harrison (he/him) is a black skier who grew up in Maryland and New Jersey. He has never seen another black skier on the mountain. According to the National Ski Areas Association (NSAA) only about 1.5% of skiers are black. He thinks it’s because snowboarding seems like it has more steez. Reach out to him with questions about inclusion and accessibility in skiing.

Maria Galgon

Events Coordinator

Maria (she/her) is a Pomona sophomore from Seattle, Washington. She grew up trying to keep up with her sisters on her skis at Crystal Mountain. Off the slopes you’ll find her surfing, hiking, baking, sewing, and just having a good time. Reach out to talk about your experience with the club and any ideas you may have (or just to say hi)!

Aleicia Zhu

Accessibility Director

Aleicia (she/her) is a Mudd junior from New Jersey. She only started skiing in earnest in college but values the memories of first turns and falling off the button lift. She’s super excited to help people start/continue on their snow sport journey. Always happy to answer questions about getting started skiing, finding cute snow bibs, or GeoGuesser (and everything else too)!

Zach Roerden

Finance Manager

Zach (he/him) is a sophomore at CMC, born as a skier from the infamous “East Coast powder” in rural Massachusetts. On powder days, he can be found deep in the trees. On boring (non-snowy) days, he can be found on random side quests, taking naps, cooking/eating, and twiddling his thumbs awaiting the start of the season.

Kirill Myagkov

CHIEF Advisor emeritus

Kirill (he/him) grew up between Eugene, Oregon & Moscow, Russia. He is an avid ski racer and big mountain backcountry skier, and is a former Senior at Pomona who majored in Economics and Engineering. When he’s not on the mountain (which is rare), he is an advisor at Sagehen Capital Management, and a tinkerer of all sorts of engineering projects. Kirill loves getting sendy with the crew, whether it’s on skis, mountain bikes, rock climbing, snowmobiles or any other exciting, adrenaline-filled activity.
